(05) our foundation

what we
value.

Eight core values that shape how we worship, pray and serve.

01we prayerfully value Scripture

The Bible is God's Word of life to the world. Through the Bible, we discern the voice and actions of God in human history. Through the Bible, we learn who we worship. From the worship of God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, we learn how to live as citizens of His kingdom on earth.

02we prayerfully value Pentecost

The Holy Spirit has called us to be a people who live and walk in the Spirit. We believe all the gifts of the Spirit are active today. We believe the Holy Spirit empowers the body of Christ corporately and individually to fulfill the mission of God on the earth.

03we prayerfully value Christ's kingdom

We know that Christ rules over all creation. Our call is to manifest the reality of His reign. By serving our communities, embracing diversity, and reaching the lost, we embody Christ's kingdom on earth.

04we prayerfully value holiness

Holiness is beautiful. God chose us and set us apart for His glory. Our lifestyles reflect the character of the God who called us to Himself. We believe that He calls us to be holy in order to reveal His grace, mercy, and love to a broken world.

05we prayerfully value all generations

We celebrate all generations and acknowledge that each is essential in the body of Christ. We honor those who have gone before us and empower those who are following. The contribution of each generation is welcomed and encouraged as we pursue our God-given destiny.

06we prayerfully value justice

As a church, we are called to corporately and individually see justice established. We intercede for those who have no voice. We stand with the poor, the weak, and the oppressed. We will not be silent in the face of injustice. We will be a place of hope.

07we prayerfully value generosity

All of our resources, whether material or spiritual, are gifts from a loving God. We do not live fearfully based on our lacks. We live gratefully based on God's provision. We commit ourselves to be joyful in giving and generous in heart. As He gave, so shall we give.

08we value prayer

Prayer must be the power source behind everything we do. It is essential that we seek God first before doing anything else. We believe that prayer changes things, changes lives, and demonstrates our full dependency upon God.

(06) what we believe

what we
believe.

The truths we stand on together.

01Scripture

The Bible is inspired by God, without error, and the only authority for God's design and plan for humanity.

02the Trinity

There is one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

03Jesus Christ

Jesus was conceived by the Virgin Mary and is the only begotten Son of the Father. He was crucified, buried, rose again, ascended to heaven, and now intercedes for us at the Father's right hand.

04salvation

Anyone can be restored to fellowship with God by accepting Christ's offer of forgiveness: confessing Jesus as Lord and Savior and turning away from sin.

05water baptism

Baptism is by full immersion in water, in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost.

06Holy Spirit baptism

Following salvation, the baptism in the Holy Spirit empowers believers for witness and service. Every Christian can receive it, along with spiritual gifts for ministering to the church and to the world.

07sanctification

Sanctification begins at salvation and continues as a lifelong process of separating from evil and becoming more like Christ.

08divine healing

Divine healing of the sick is provided for in the atonement of Christ.

09the church

The Church is the body of Christ, made up of all who have received God's redemption through Jesus. Its mission is to seek and save those who are lost.

10praise & worship

We worship God in spirit and in truth with our whole hearts, expressing thanksgiving, joy, and praise in the ways Scripture describes.

11marriage

Marriage is a sacred union between one man and one woman, and we promote biblical family values.

12the blessed hope

Jesus Christ will return a second time.
