Nursery Staff

Nursery Staff Job Description This is a Sundays only position, 3 hours every Sunday. There are opportunities for more hours during the week as needs arise. A background check and a drug screen is required Purpose: To provide dependable, safe, secure and nurturing care to the children while at church, ages 0 through 2 years old in a clean environment. Responsibilities: Responsible for providing age-appropriate care which includes: o Feeding o Changing diapers (As directed by the parent and/or Children's director) o Escorting children to the bathroom o Maintaining a safe environment o Putting children down for naps o Holding children if needed o Sitting with and cheerfully interacting with children through games, stories, play and prayer. Be polite, courteous and friendly to all children, parents and volunteers. Arrive 15 minutes prior to the Morning Service. Child care hours are every Sunday 9:30 am to 12:30 pm Stay until children are secured with a responsible adult named on the child’s registration form. In the event of an emergency notify the children's director and parent via the communication system or cell phone. Straighten the nursery room and clean/sanitize any toys/beds before leaving the nursery. Report any issues to the children's director which hinder you from carrying out your duties or responsibilities. Qualifications: (Preferred) Experience in caring for children between the ages of 0 to 4 with the ability to adapt and interact with a variety of personalities. Pre-K Staff Job Description This is a Sundays only position, 3 hours every Sunday. There are opportunities for more hours during the week as needs arise. A Background Check Is Required A Drug Screen is Required Role: To prayerfully support and build relationships with both teachers and children in order to ensure effective Bible learning, and to also guide children in life-changing Bible learning. Supervisor: (Children’s Ministry Director) Responsibilities: Maintain a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Desire to grow in faith and commitment to God and participate in personal Bible study and prayer. Worship regularly with the church family. Pray regularly for each child and others on your team. Participate in scheduled meetings. Express needs as a teacher to your supervisor. Communicate regularly with your supervisor. Teaching Session Responsibilities: Arrive at least 30 minutes before each session begins. Arrange materials and room to create an effective learning environment as per the direction of the Children’s Ministry Director Assist parent(s) as needed with check in. Greet each child upon arrival and involve him or her in conversation and meaningful activity. Model the love of Christ by getting to know children and sharing their concerns, needs, and joys. Guide Bible learning by Being well prepared to use Bible stories, verses/passages, questions, and comments appropriate to the age level in order to accomplish the lesson aims; Selecting a variety of Bible learning activities and encouraging each student to actively participate in each lesson; Participating with children in learning activities and in large-group times.
